One of the absolute best times to rent a cabin is in the fall. At this time of the year, the leaves are changing and there is a sweet crispness in the air that is unmatched by any other season. As the world turns from bright green to excellent shades of red and orange, we can fill our time with tons of fun activities before the cold snow settles on the ground. ATV Exploration
One of the biggest reasons you may be visiting our cabins is to enjoy the local ATV terrain. We suggest spending a carefree day on the trails and letting go of some of that holiday stress.
Corn Maze Wandering
Corn mazes are a staple of fall celebrations and there are so many in the area to visit and explore, including a number that may be haunted. Many of these locations also provide hayrides, pumpkin patches, and haunted houses.
Apple Picking
A perfect activity to try something new and exciting. Apple season is upon us and apples are the star ingredient of hundreds of wonderful fall recipes. Perhaps you might even ”bob” for them later.
Fall Hiking
While you’re at Ligia’s Fork Cabins, it is the prime time to take in the crisp fall air and enjoy the changing leaves. The countless trails nearby and the proximity to the Smoky Mountains makes it the picture-perfect destination for hiking in the fall weather.
Running a Race

Who doesn’t love a good picnic? It is time to set up the most delicious snack, gather some blankets, and watch the sunrise or sunset.
Antiquing
Ligia’s Fork Cabins is near some excellent antiquing shops. If a day is just too chilly to be spent outside, you can check out all the wonderful shops and potentially add to your antique collection.
Carving Pumpkins
Carving pumpkins is quite possibly the most important October activity. After you visit the pumpkin patch, gather your family and get to carving your hand-picked pumpkins into your favorite designs.

These are two of the most fabulous treats to come out of the fall season. Making these treats is almost as rewarding as enjoying them afterwards. It can be a family affair: coming together to make these goods and later enjoying them at the bonfire!

The perfect fall evening is filled with soft sweaters and sweet smores by a large bonfire in the woods. You might even enjoy some of your homemade pumpkin bread and some hot apple cider.
